Established in 2014 by Marge and Ned Webb, this restricted fund provides annual scholarships for up to two graduating to Talawanda High School seniors. Recipients are one senior Advanced Placement student and one senior College Preparatory student, and the award honors their accomplishments as writers.  Recipients will  be pursuing a degree at an accredited two or four year school of higher education. The nomination takes place annually in the spring, when there will be a call for nominees within the English Department. A Talawanda teacher who nominates a student must submit a writing sample from the student and a brief cover letter outlining the teacher's rationale for nomination. Based on student(s) having demonstrated excellence over four years and/or shown significant growth as writers in a wide variety of genres. Members of the Greater Oxford Community Foundation Scholarship Committee includes volunteers from the English Department faculty at Talawanda High School.
