The Greater Oxford Community Foundation has three grant cycles yearly with the following deadlines:
August 15
December 15
April 15
Funding decisions take place the month following the grant deadline. Applicants will be notified two to three weeks after funding decisions are made.

Grant deadlines . . .
Grant applications are considered by the Grants Committee three times a year.
The application deadlines for this fiscal year are:
August 15, to be notified by September 30
December 15, to be notified by January 31
April 15, to be notified by May 31
The Grants Committee reviews grant requests according to guidelines established by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. After review, the committee makes recommendations to the Board, which makes all funding decisions. Requests are approved at the discretion of the Board acting within established criteria in applicable law.
All applicants receive notification of the Board’s action. Those selected for grants must adhere to the terms stipulated in the funding agreement.
Documents required . . .
When submitting your application, please include the following:
- Detailed projected budget with other funding sources
(i.e. government funding, individual donations, corporate contributions, foundation grants, fundraising events, etc)
- Where appropriate, a cover letter signed by an authorized executive (i.e. Board President or CEO) indicating approval to submit the request. Include your 501(c)3 number.
- A narrative with the agency’s history, description of services and constituents served
- Explanation of how the proposal fits with the agency’s mission
- Description of organizational capacity to carry out the project (i.e. staff qualifications, best practices), community impact, outcome measurements and sustainability
- Details of collaboration (i.e. letters of support, memorandums of understanding)
- If this grant is a continuing program or project what is your plan for securing future funding
- Ensure that all pertinent signatures appear on the application form
If your agency receives a grant, you are required to . . .
- Return a signed grant acceptance prior to the release of funds.
- Adhere to its terms throughout the course of the grant period.
- Ensure that all publicity regarding the project mentions the Foundation's support.
- Submit a fiscal summary and a project evaluation signed by the chief executive officer and/or project leader within 60 days of the completion of the project.
- Failure to submit reports within the guidelines may jeopardize future funding opportunities.
- Where appropriate, submit photographs of your project to the Foundation for use on our website, newsletter and brochures.
- Submit a six Month Evaluation and fiscal summary showing detail of all expenses, plus a follow up final report showing detail of all expenses if project is longer than six months.
