Established in memory of music teacher Dorothy Blankenship in 2014 by her son Bruce Blankenship, this award is for a Talawanda graduating High School student pursuing a degree in music at an accredited two or four-year school of higher education or Conservatory of Music.

CRITERIA:

- Student must have 3 or higher GPA.

- Demonstrated Financial Need.

- Resides in the Greater Oxford Area as defined as the Talawanda School District.

- Must be enrolled in school full time.

REQUIRED:

- Two letters of recommendation from music department instructors that include evidence that the student has demonstrated excellence over four years and/or shown significant growth in the music; achievement in high school coursework and the applicant's commitment to pursue a career in the field of music.
