The Greater Oxford Community Foundation has been growing and granting for 29 years! We serve the City of Oxford, and the townships of Hanover, Milford, Oxford and Reily, that's 144 square miles! Through our two staff members, intern and 15 trustees, we provide leadership to enhance our quality of life locally to support natural, community, and human resources; act as a catalyst to identify and address evolving needs; and provide a flexible and cost-effective way for donors to improve the community now and for all time.

From honoring beloved educators and community leaders to supporting future artists, scientists, athletes, and trades professionals. These scholarships reflect the heart of our community. Congratulations to Krupa Patel, recipient of the Talawanda Alumni Hall of Achievement Promise Scholarship! This unique scholarship, a collaboration between the Greater Oxford Community Foundation and the Talawanda Hall of Achievement, honors students who show extraordinary promise to change the world—not just through grades or need, but through potential, passion, and purpose. Spearheaded by alumni Kristine Rose Winkler (’84) and David Winkler (’76), this award aims to uplift students who may not yet fully see the talents they possess — but whose community does. Huge congratulations to Scarlett Hillman, recipient of the Gene Burton Minority Scholarship! This scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Gene Burton, a 1959 Talawanda graduate and long-time Oxford resident who passed away in 2005. Known for his compassion, community spirit, and involvement in school dramatics and athletics, Mr. Burton dedicated his life to helping others. Scarlett carries that spirit forward as she pursues her dream of becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Ohio University.
